Hello guys, welcome back on my new post, this time I will share the story of the floods that hit my village some time ago, to be precise at the end of 2020.
This incident precisely happened in the mosque village, Syamtalira Aron sub-district, North Aceh district.
12 December 2020 is a dark day for the people in my village, starting with the intensity of the rain that hit for 3 days without stopping the residents' settlements.
On the third night, the rain was very heavy and the residents felt anxious when they learned that the overflow of river water had overflowed residents' settlements. The sound of announcements from the surau in the village along the river continues to reverberate.
The purpose of this announcement is to notify residents to be alert for river overflows, after a period of time since this announcement occurred, river water overflow has entered residents' houses.
In the morning all the residents who had anticipated the flood last night saw the condition of the river embankment that had burst about 40 meters in our village.
This flood is estimated to be around 50 cm to 100 cm from the ground. And it resulted in material losses for our citizens who are mostly poor people.
This is what I can tell about the misfortunes at the end of 2020 that we suffered in our village, I hope this flood will not be repeated. And we can all learn from the disasters that hit at the end of 2020.
