Mazzle is becoming a Mallsballer again!
So the wife and I are packing up our home, and taking the big drive back Adelaide once again.
It's been 15 years since we lived in little old Adelaide. And I couldn't be more excited about becoming a mallsballer once again.
Packing is not a fun thing to be doing in your spare time (and often leads to the writing of random Steemit posts on my various accounts in silent protest of how much packing sucks...).
But packing is sometimes made exciting when you find random things, such as ancient Australian currency:
Where the hell did these notes come from? They're almost in perfect condition. I honestly have no recollection of ever been given these notes.
For those of you not in Australia, we stopped using the $1 note in 1984 (replaced by the $1 coin) and we stopped using the $2 note in 1988 (also replaced by a coin).
Why, how and when I received these notes I have no idea. I definitely didn't deliberately bring any $1 and $2 notes with me on my various moves around the country over the past 15 years (we've moved state 4 times for those counting).
So I guess the next question is, are the notes worth anything? Well yes, yes they are:
These notes are worth a combined total of $3!
I wish the answer was more exciting than that. Sorry.
