This card looks superb in the pictures but it looks simply awesome in ‘real life’!
The ‘Easel Card’ is ultra-simple to make!
A basic card blank folded in half and then folded in half down the front.
On the INSIDE of the card, I stuck a piece of cardstock along the outer edge to make a ‘stopper’. I then matched that with another on the outside of the card.
That way, you can fold the card and tuck the edge under the inner ‘stopper’ to stop the card sliding closed.
I cut out a background for the die topper I chose.
This matches in with the die, it’s a set.
And I made a mistake! (nothing new there…)
I should have used the other die to cut this out too… I had to use scissors.
I took three die sets:
To make the sentiment to go with the theme of the card.
I also used two dies to make foliage for decoration. Both dies were ‘free’ with something else I bought.
The green foliage die is part of the robin I made in THIS post
The gold was from THIS one
I cut another base from a contrasting colour, to give the card dimension. I only decided to put another colour in there when I saw the foliage didn't stand out too well.
The best thing about this is that it folds down to fit inside the envelope.
