I’ve noticed a strange thing today in side the nestbox for the past few days I was convinced the where six chicks but today unfortunately I found a seventh chick dead you will see the poor little thing in the bottom left of the picture
Now I after seeing this I went over past pictures and it wasn’t there yesterday, now for those who don’t know if you zoom in on the top right you can see the time and date the pictures where taken
In this picture you can see very clearly we still have six maybe the was seven all along and i missed it ?
One thing for sure they are growing very fast now in this picture you can even see some yellow feathers starting to show
The one thing that is worrying me is the fact that none of the parents have removed the dead chick and I have no idea why. Hopefully I will update again tomorrow thanks mike
