There are special people among us who love to stick to themselves and usually say more with their eyesight than with words.
A while ago my friend lent me a few books where many things were explained. A lot of psychological things which I really like to read. And I am a bit angry with myself not remembering which one were they, but nevertheless, they were a pleasant read. In one part the author talked about the old souls, and I decided to share with you some thoughts...
If your view of life is different from that of most people thinks, and you don't pay much attention to external goods, the achievements and material prospects that surround us, you are more mature and wiser than others, and always ready to give advice, and at the same time you are much more independent and accustomed to following your own thoughts, and not others. If that is true, then you can easily say that you belong to people who have an old soul.
Maybe you prefer to stick to yourself or have a narrow and confidential circle of people who are, possibly, older than you?
Or you are prone to spirituality? The emotional old souls are apparently extremely sensuous and spiritually oriented. Given that they don't share the achievements, and wishes of the ego, they prefer to seek enlightenment, love, and peace.
Do you often think not only about your transience but also about the transience of all and everything that surrounds us.
The old souls are thinking a lot about everything. They are able to think carefully about their actions and about the actions of others, and also learn a lot from them. In this sense, they are excellent teachers and advisors.
The last part of the chapter, I think, is something that everyone should be able to do - see a wider picture.
The old souls are rarely lost in superficial desires and achievements, such as good office, education, material status, impeccable thighs, or even huge breasts or television. Old souls are able to look at life from a bird's perspective and don't deal with insignificant details, such as their car brand. It means a lot to them to find the meaning of their life path, after which they walk boldly and slowly step by step. When faced with a problem, old souls don't give up but look at it as a temporary obstacle or pain, which will ultimately bring them even more satisfaction than they would have received if the path to the goal was smooth and simple. Due to their modest and peaceful views of life, they are not inclined to dramatize and have a calm and stable character.
I hope one day I will be able to see the world around me in such a way. But for now I just now I have a lot to learn. What about you - do you know any old souls?
