Ever Read a Article with the Words "Scientist Have Found"
We all have, we see it everyday, how often do we check to see if the scientists are named and credited? How often do we go any further and find the source article, or the the published scientist study?
Please don't get me wrong, I am by no means a "science denier" I love science.
But what is science?
science - the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behaviour of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment.
The main word to take away here is observation, if something can not be observed it is not true science. Apologies, I'm digressing.
Back to the point, people are very easily mislead. Just because a study has been approved by doctors and scientists, does not make it the infallible truth. We are somehow convinced that these professionals are immune to corruption and are drive by truth and not monetary gain. I would go out on a limb and speculate that 90% of doctors and scientist chose their profession base on the earning potential of those fields.
Remember when doctors recommended smoking and that sugar is good for you?
What makes us think that any of this has change in today's world regarding issues like global warming or vaccines?
