Your imaginative faculty may have become weak through inaction. But the good news is that it can be revived and made alert when you begin to use them. This faculty doesn't die but it can become really inactive through lack of use.
In my experience a lot of people have become unimaginative because of their life circumstances. When people are denied the opportunity of using their initiative again and again, or when they are repeatedly negatively reinforced after doing something outside the box; after a while, they give up trying and simply take the easy way out by following the lead of a 3rd party hoping that would absolve them of all blame. Unfortunately, that action path dulls the senses!
