It was a pathetic story told by a preacher from the pulpit. It was about a hunter who entered the bush for a hunting outing. This man met a group of growing fowls. Shocked to the marrow, the hunter saw among the fowls a slowly walking bird that looked like an eagle. On a close examination the hunter ascertained to his dismay that the bird in question was an eagle with full plumage. This eagle walked on the ground and searched for food like a fowl. Perhaps the eagle’s egg was incubated by the fowl and was hatched and reared among them.
The hunter could not bear the ugly denigrating sight and so had to scream and shout, “You are an eagle, why are you on the ground?” The hunter desperately approached the bird, pursued and gripped it. He threw it up shouting, “Fly away and manifest your glory; you are an eagle, your glory is in the sky.”
After several attempts to challenge the young eagle to fly, the latter suddenly recovered its identity and flew into the sky.
