Although cactus plants are hardy and require little care, I think home gardeners tend to avoid growing cactus probably because of the prickly needles.
There was an auto accident along my usual route to the store and I had to take a diversion to avoid the jam. That's when I saw this cactus plant.
It's beautiful and I cannot wait to see how it would look when the flower buds are completely open. I am making a mental note to drive by in a few days' time to check on the flowers.
