History
The Kintamani dog is an ordinary pet in Indonesia. This breed is native to the village of Sukawan, Kintamani, Bangli Regency, Bali. The Kintamani dog originates from the mountains, volcanoes and forests. Beginning of Dog Kintamani is still unknown. The very ancient traditional documentation of Lontar Bali, mentions the Kuluk Gembrong which is believed to be the origin of the Kintamani Dog. In 1985, with the collaboration of the University of Udayana Veterinary Study Program, the Kintamani Dog Club in Bali (Pantrab) held its first dog show in Bali, the Kintamani dog then spread throughout Indonesia. The name of the breed is given based on the region of origin of this dog
