The Indonesian Teachers Association (IGI) of Lhokseumawe City distributed donations in the form of cash and basic necessities to Fitriani, a paralyzed patient who has been lying in an uninhabitable room for 8 years. The donation was distributed directly to Fitriani on Thursday (6/5) in Lhokseumawe.
The Head of IGI Lhokseumawe City, Jon Darmawan SPd MPd, explained that the donation was a donation from IGI members and donors who were not binding. Among these donors, added Darmawan, some came from Lampung, Tamiang and Banda Aceh. Apart from that, continued Darmawan, of course many of them from Lhokseumawe City are generally IGI members.
IGI Lhokseumawe City would like to thank the donors who have entrusted us to distribute this aid. IGI with the IGI for Humanity program will try to help those who really need assistance like Fitriani, "said Darmawan.
Darmawan said that based on the results of direct monitoring, the Fitriani family's most basic need was a livable house. The house that is now inhabited, said Darmawan, stands on other people's land and is very unfit for habitation. "We hope that this donation will ease the burden on the Fitriani family, especially to pay off the land that has just been purchased. Although it is not enough, hopefully there will be generous people who will help this family, ”said Darmawan.
Darmawan further added that his party would still accept donations for Fitriani's family if there were still those who wanted to make donations. This, Darmawan concluded, considering that the Fitriani family desperately needed a livable house.
Donation transparency will continue to be carried out through social media so that donors can see the donation report. Also present at the distribution of donations, Chairman of the Dayah Rabithah Alumni Association Darul Munawwarah (Iradah) Lhokseumawe City, Tgk. Fadli and the IGI top management in Lhokseumawe City.
Previously, it was reported that Fitriani was really suffering. This girl of Blang Weu Baroh's expertise, 21 September 1992 suddenly suffered from paralysis since graduating from junior high school in 2013. Fitriani is the first child of Zainal Abidin Ben's couple with a diamond. Yes, Mother Fitriani left her family about 8 years ago because she could not stand the family condition.
Chairman of the Indonesian Teachers Association (IGI) Lhokseumawe City, Jon Darmawan SPd MPd together with the Head of the Dayah Kuta Krueng Alumni Association for Lhokseumawe City Region, Tgk Fadli, some time ago visited Fitriani's house.
According to Darmawan, Fitriani has two younger brothers, Heri Mayanda and Muhammad Taufik. His two younger siblings only go to school until they finish junior high school. Just like Fitriani. The absence of funds is the reason why they do not continue their education.
Heri Mayanda told Darmawan that in 2013, Fitriani was suddenly paralyzed. The joy that Fitriani always displays turns into deep sadness. Fitriani's father, Zainal Abidin, has tried to get Fitriani for treatment. However, due to lack of money, Fitriani's father gave up and took care of his baby at home.
Fitriani's father is a sufferer of elephant leg. Fitriani's father's job is to pull a cargo rickshaw in the Cunda area, Lhokseumawe. Meanwhile, Fitriani's two younger siblings did not work. The junior high school diploma his younger brother obtained was very difficult to find employment opportunities. Practically, only Fitriani's father suffered from elephant leg as the main backbone of making a living with his pedicab. The suffering suffered by Fitriani's family is complete, ”said Darmawan.
Darmawan said that Fitriani's house was located on the side of Buloh Blang Ara road, Trieng Dua Peureudee area, Blang Weu Baroh, Blang Mangat District, Lhokseumawe City. The house, added Darmawan, was unfit for habitation and had dirt on it. The house has only one bedroom where Fitriani lies day and night. The father and his two younger siblings, continued Darmawan, slept in the living room with the mattress spread out on the ground floor. The house is constructed of wood which is no longer suitable for habitation. “The land on which their house is built is not their own land. The land is the land of a resident of Lhokseumawe City. The land status belongs to someone else, not Zainal Abidin, Fitriani's father, ”said Darmawan.
Darmawan further said that Fitriani's father had raised cows belonging to the villagers using the mawah system. During the distribution of the mawah, he got a calf. He raised the calf for two years. When he grew up, Zainal sold the cow and bought a plot of land in the Blang Weu Baroh village. The land was just Fitriani's father. Geuchik Blang Weu Baroh, Maimun SPd explained that his party through village funds had tried to help rehabilitate the house. However, because the land does not belong to Ayah Fitriani, it cannot be rehabilitated through village funds.
We once proposed wheelchair assistance for Fitriani, but until now it has not been realized. The condition of the family is very poor. Their mother left them to go to Malaysia because they could not stand the condition of the family, ”said Maimun. To Darmawan and Tgk Fadli, Adik Fitriani, Heri Mayanda, explained that every day he bathes Fitriani in the room. The room is not only used for sleeping. Fitriani when she wants to urinate or defecate, directly in the room. As a result, the room becomes smelly and unfit for habitation. But what can I say, that is what Heri and her family can do. “To eat, we waited for what Daddy brought home. If you bring home fish, for example, then I immediately cook to eat with my family. If you don't bring anything home, then we don't eat, ”said Heri.
Darmawan tries to have a dialogue with Fitriani. Fitriani can only pray that her illness will recover soon. Fitriani admitted that she really hopes for help from donors so that she can treat her illness and rehabilitate her uninhabitable house. Hopefully there are donors or philanthropists who will help the suffering of Fitriani and her family.
