So he was dating because... he just wanted someone to talk to?

Speaking of society and relationships and kids... I just watched "The Lobster". What a mind f**k that was. I can't imagine the person who dreamt up the story line and what place they were coming from, but it makes some interesting observations on relationships and life. I also found it depressing as hell and I'm normal an upbeat kind of guy so not sure I'd recommend it to you.
