The idea of going away during the year to somewhere tropical to read by the pool and tan, to swim, dry off, have a few drinks and a nice meal. To meander the streets at night and listen to the crickets chirping. The crickets don't chirp at home, or its more noticeable as there are so many more in warmer places. You visit the touristy places and also places off the beaten track to experience a dealer sense of the world you are a temporary visitor. You imagine what life could be like to be in a permanent state of holiday without a care. Honestly that'd be my dream to have 6 months in many different countries without a care for money. But so far you return home from holiday to work to afford the next one.
I long for the normality and simplicity of that after covid but I don't know how soon it may happen.
