To my many friends in tropical locations who have never witnessed this, consider yourself blessed!! ~ Paradise Found
There are good reasons to live in the north, however, one of them is not the snow or the cold. But with the cold and snow also comes the snowplow. They keep our streets clear and allow food to get to the grocery, gas to get to the pumps, children to get to school, etc. The importance of these plows is very obvious, they allow all of us to travel in our vehicles.
This is Dan the Snowplow man
Dan is the newest member of the City snowplow crew. He started plowing in 2016. The plows are very large and stand over 11 feet tall, the tires are approx. 4 ft tall. These snowplows keep our streets clear and we are very grateful for them!

Here are some Wisconsin snow fall facts:
Where I live in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, we average 25.5 snowfalls each year. The average total amount of snow we receive for those 25.5 snowfalls is 43.2 inches (109.7 centimeters). The statistics are for the last 37 years, dating back to 1981.
Our state’s greatest seasonal total for snow was during the winter of 1996-97 in Hurley, Wisconsin, when 295.4 inches were measured. That’s almost 25 feet!
