When i was a young boy, all I waited for, was to open all my Christmas presents, the more the better !
You have your entire family around you.
But, as time passes by, members of your family gets older.. We all know that we are here on borrowed time, and as I grew older, I started to realise, that the presents lost their value to me..
I became aware of, that I needed to embrace and enjoy every Christmas we all were gathered.
Because one day, one or more will be gone for Christmas. I remember the first Christmas after my grandpa passed away, it was at that point everything changed in me. It was weird not having him around, man, I really miss him
The most Loving and caring man.
Some years after my aunt passed away, another person missing, my aunt always chose which carols we should sing, when walking around the Christmas tree, and always wanted 8-10 before we could stop.
Well, the point in this text is, never take any family member for granted, enjoy the moments, remember to visit them, tell them you love them, what they mean to you..
Because, one day, it might be too late, and you will end up regretting not doing so.
Goodnight from Denmark, my fellow steemians.
