Well paradise to me anyway. You have to love snowboarding like we do to understand. Just a few years ago, my son Jay and I, finally got to go out West to Brighton,Utah, and snowboard in real snow, pure powder! Not frozen ice from sleet like we have here on the East coast either! While we were there it snowed a total of 84" inches of fresh snow!
We stayed at the base of the mountain in the Brighton Lodge. It was located on the slope side on-mountain, only a hop and skip from the Crest Express Lift!
Inside the lodge, they had a history of snowboards displayed on the wall.
It was nothing fancy, but was warm and convenient! We were able to ride each day, eat in the room and rest and warm up,
then ride again each evening from 4-9 pm!
The lady in the lobby commented that she had never seen guests who rode every single time the lift was open!

At the top of the mountain!
By noon we'd be starving and we'd board over to the Brighton Center for some hot chili served in bread bowls!
It was so good and really warmed us up for the afternoon.
Halfway down the mountain, they had a little terrain park with rails and boxes to slide your board across...
Jay busting through some powder on a trail we made off the beaten path that dropped down through the woods and up over a small hill.
We learned to pump little trenches like we were on a skateboard halfpipe and pop big airs coming out!
Jay adding a grab to his jump!
The evening were the best ,with the long shadows and beautiful scenery as the sun set behind the mountain.
When we had finished riding for the day and still had some energy, we'd dig the car out and
drive just around the bend to the Silver Fork Lodge. They had awesome burgers and steaks and instead of bread while you wait, the best hush puppies you've ever tasted. Sweet and buttery goodness!
After our late dinner, we'd hit the hot tub outside our room, whether it was snowing or not!
Seven days flew by. It was so surreal, like a dream.
We dug the car out again and headed down the mountain to the airport.
This was the best vacation I could have imagined. Jay still talks about Brighton and the awesomeness of that week to this day. We vow to return one day before I'm too old and feeble, haha.
I highly recommend Brighton if you want the ultimate snowboarding experience!
