Yesterday, my favorite Hive gamer girl
tagged me in a challenge. This never happens to me! So ehm... I guess I should talk about the challenge!
The challenge is:
Answer these questions:
- What have you done in November?
- What are your plans for December and the new year?
- How's 2021 treated you so far?
AND
I also challenge you to make up TWO new questions!
Tag three (or more) of your friends on hive, and let us get to know each other a little bit better!
What have you done in November?
Oh my... My life is quite boring! I did the #hiveblopomo challenge in november and I guess that held basically everything that happened to me in november. It comes down to lots of blogging and gaming and being tired.
I played a lot of New World, which has been both fun and frustrating. This could be a very good game, but the bad quality of life for gatherers kinda worked against me. So I also started playing Guild Wars 2, World vs World again.
In the real world, I managed to get some garden work done, which I shouldn't have needed to do, were it not for the fact that I had been neglecting it for far too long.
What are your plans for December and the new year?
December is mostly a family month, due to all of the holidays. Yesterday we celebrated 'Sinterklaas' (Saint Nicholas), who Hivebuzz has written a post about and who has jolly helpers who every 'woke' person hates now, but it's basically a holiday for kids and they get gifts. (P.S.:
Seeing as my sister in law is the only family who currently has little kids, we celebrated this with them at my mother in law's place. It was a fun (and busy) evening and even us adults got some gifts! Look at my new plant in its own little biodome and very pretty globe of lights!
I guess I was a good girl this year!
For most of december, I'll probably do more of what I did in november: Very little! Gaming, blogging, maybe some more gardening on the not so cold days (so many weeds!).
For Christmas and new years, I'll be spending time with mum. Hopefully we'll visit my brother on his birthday the 26th, but he wasn't sure about that yet. New years will be nice and simple with just mum, hubby and me, eating mum's homemade oliebollen and appelflappen. Yum!
Fireworks aren't allowed this year, because some Dutchies are horrible people who can't behave responsibly with a bunch of explosives, causing a lot of harm to other people's properties, themselves and others. Our hospitals can't have that right now. And good riddance too! I hope they'll never be allowed again. I'm always afraid to go out of the house during these times. Humans are horrible!
Aaaanyway, I digress...
How's 2021 treated you so far?
2021 and I aren't on the best of terms, because I sat home with a burnout. Although I guess that started at the very end of 2020, so I might just blame that year. Everyone else already seems to hate 2020 aswell, so I'll just pile on there.
2021 has been a year of not doing many useful things and instead trying to find ways to enjoy and recharge myself. I picked up blogging again, this time on Hive, and that has been a lot of fun.
I had my first summer season in our new house and garden and I now have a love/hate relationship with my garden. It is an awesome garden, but the weeds are sooooo maaaaany. I have ideas though. To lessen that a little. Now all I need is money.
Aaah, don't we all?
It was very 'zen' to work in the garden though, so that really helped to calm my head a little. And that is basically all there is to say about 2021!
Right, I'm supposed to think of two other questions now, but I'll skip that part, because I can't!
Who to invite for this challenge?
Well, there's an interesting question! I'm not a very social person, so I can't say I have actual friends, but I do have some new and old acquaintances that I wish a lot of luck in life and on this platform. So I'll invite them to keep this challenge going!
