Developed in Germany in the eighteenth century, Homeopathy is a therapy based on the theory that "like cures like." It was founded by Samuel Hahnemann, a German physician who in the course of his business started to become quite disillusioned with little effectiveness and aggressiveness of the medical practices of his day. Hahnemann, who studied chemistry and medicine, began investigating a new system that was based on stimulation of the life force of the people, administering remedies diluted to avoid toxicity. After many years of practice and clinical observation came to the conclusion that a substance that causes symptoms of a disease in a healthy person can cure those same symptoms in someone who is sick.
Homeopathy aims to not only mitigate the symptoms. It also has the power to change "the land" individual for each patient. It is based on individual characteristics of the patient and the homeopathic medicine acts as a specific regulator of the body, contrary to conventional chemical medicine.
A homeopathic treatment is necessary to know the signs and symptoms presented by the patient; patient characteristics and the way he reacts; and the cause underlying etiological pathology, as well as what determines the appearance of some conditions and the procedure for its chronicity.
