Creepy old cemeteries . . . Haunted homesteads . . . Civil War reenactments. . . Colonial American history . . . Pennsylvania has it all!
Hello my fellow Steemians! I was moving amidst my Steem hiatus, and now I am BACK and with TONS of great things to show you!
I found this 200 year old cemetery in the middle of the woods while hiking!!!
I moved all the way from Montana to Pennsylvania, and man, it was a very long journey. I will not be here permanently, as Montana is always my forever home. However, I will be in the state of Pennsylvania and want to show all the unusual and amazing things out here.
An abandoned home I stumbled upon
I have been exploring like CRAZY and am soaking up the history like a sponge. The borough I am living in was founded in 1796 and is full of old decrepit buildings, colonial heritage and TONS of creepy old graveyards (I LOVEold graveyards).
Albert Gallatin, the Secretary of Treasury under two presidents in the early 1800s
Pennsylvania, the Keystone State, is one of the first 13 colonies and has centuries of old American history. I plan to bring a lot of history to you in the next coming months.
The scenery is beautiful and is lush with nut trees, vines, and streams. It is very different from Montana, to me, it looks like a jungle out here. I am used to pine trees!
A lone tombstone in the forest . . . VERY eerie and VERY old.
So stay tuned to my blog as I am going to keep up with daily posts about my explorations, adventures, and findings of Pennsylvania. Oh! And I bought a metal detector, so I can find ancient colonial treasures!
A Civil War skirmishreenactment, I cannot wait to see the Battle of Gettysburg!
