China Develops Hipersononic Bomber Plane, Reaches London Within Few Minutes!
A new aircraft designed by Chinese scientists that can be used to build "hypersonic heavy bombers", which can fly between Beijing and London within 78 minutes.
Researchers reveal plans for a jet with two sets of wings that can fly more than 3,700mph - or five times the speed of sound. The plane could reach New York in just two hours. One expert warned that the Chinese military will continue to develop to make the aircraft.
The plane was designed by scientists at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing. Team leader Dr Cui Kai said :
"It took several hours to travel from Beijing to New York at hypersonic speeds, which could provide a more convenient and efficient transportation than the current subsonic plane for future long-distance travel."
It can reach this incredible speed because most of these aircraft have two pairs of wings combined to reduce obstacles and turbulence.
After the newspaper's release, a Chinese military aircraft designer, who declined to be named, told the South China Morning Post :
"We're talking about something like a hypersonic heavy bomber, the design is crazy, but somehow they've succeeded in making it work.This can make great progress in hypersonic technology."
