Today i'm Tryna Start A New Thing on Steemit. Hope that'll work then i'll create a series on this topic.
i'm gonna write 10 unbelievable & interesting facts about everything like animals, skin, human body, planets etc. Where,
As a Plankton in the Steemit Community. i'm starting the series with Plankton. So get ready for it buddies. Hope Y'all like it.
1. Planktons isn't the name of a plant or animal but more of a category for any drifting organisms that inhabits the middle to upper levels of the ocean, namely the epipelagic zone.
2. Planktons consume Carbon dioxide & release Oxygen just like the plants & trees.
3. There are around 1 million Planktons in 1 teaspoon of sea-water!
4. There are 3 groups & nearly 5,000 species of Planktons living in the oceans, rivers & lakes too.
5. A kind of Zooplankton called Copepod can move 500 times of its body length in less then a seconds.
6. Copepod are the most abundant animals in the ocean & even on the Earth!! There are estimated to be 1 Quintillion (1,000,000,000,000,000,000 or E18) on the Earth.
7. Jellyfish is also a kind of Plankton.
8. Jellyfish is the smartest among the other Planktons.
9. Fish larva start off life as Planktons they're called Drifters.
X. If there are enough Planktons in the water, it can get so clody that a submarine can disappear from the sight.
