Yes, I also hard a time believin' that this insane mountain formation was actually real, 'coz we never fallen down the rabbit hole. But, believe it or not, this technicolour range actually exists.
The mountains are part of the Zhangye Danxia Landform Geological Park in China. Layers of different coloured sandstone & minerals were pressed together over 24 million years & then buckled up by tectonic plates.
While the photos are just incredible there could be some slight photo manipulation goin' on to make the colours pop a bit more than they would naturally. This photo could be a more accurate representation, but still, the mountains are amazin'.
The formations were shaped into the flowin' valleys after thousands of years of rain & wind, and the region has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2010.
