It seems like I completely forgot to introduce myself. I've been blogging away like crazy but I did not post the most important blog of all, I do apologize.
I'm from a Stellenbosch in the Western Cape, South Africa. My whole life I enjoyed things that challenge me. I like using my creative side to paint, draw and most resonantly I started blogging. I like to think about things as my wife can testify to this I'm on earth but I live in my own thoughts.
I started with bonsai when I was in school. My first tree I very bought was at a show that was hosted by the club that I am now a member of the Boland Bonsai Kai. I have gone through a journey of self discovery with bonsai as the only constent in my live. A few years ago this was me.
Loved my job but not in a good place. I have been overweight my whole life not know any better. I was a hard worker but when it came to my personal health I was lazy. Anything that concerned my appearance was not important for me it was all about get through the month and supporting my family.
After a few year in this state of mind I finally started to jog. I know this sounds mad but I got two dogs and they were very energetic and I needed to walk with them to keep them from digging up my garden. Walking lead to running and as they say the rest is history. I took part in my first Half marathon two year ago and have been riding the fitness wave since then.
On my journey to a health and an active lifestyle I have encountered many great people. The one that I would like to thank the most is @clinton54hendricks he is a true inspiration and and one hell of a coach. It's his birthday today so this post is for you buddy. He is to thank for this:
Through this all I have always been busy with my trees and I can say after dedicating my full attention to living a healthy life the rest all fell in place. I won my first every young designers competition and have been excelling in the art of bonsai like never before. A health body and mind paves the way to success.
Thank you for reading this post. It's been on of the hardest ones to write thus far.
