Death is certain. Whether we like it or not, we will be facing it. Whether you're rich or poor, we all gonna die. Whether you're sick or not, we all gonna die. Whether you're good or bad, we all gonna die. The question is, "When am I gonna die?" Don't worry, you will die soon! (just kidding lol)
Even mentioning the word die or death, we try not to talk about it. How much more facing it? Some would say, "I wanna die happily!" (Oh really? How?) Others want to die without sickness, just die in old age. (A hundred years old?)
We don't actually know when is the time, when will death comes. Maybe some are curious on what will happen after death and even try to kill themselves just for curiosity. (Those were out of their minds folks, mostly drug addicts and most depressed. We could pray for them.)
A little pain in our toe, we easily think on how to eliminate the pain. When we have a little headache, we immediately take medication. We are afraid all the time. How much more if we feel like the end is near? When we have illness that couldn't be cured, we'll try to use and take all the medication as possible in order to live longer. Sometimes or maybe those medications are the killers of our own body cells, thus making us more live short lives.
Maybe we just have to get busy all the time so that we could not feel what death is and we just die right away and feels no pain, like being shot and died instantly, right away, very quickly. (Maybe it would happen to some, maybe for you not. I'm not frightening you folks!) It will also happen when we get older, with severe illness and the pain is all around our body in and out, as if we're on Calvary. How do we handle this? Its easy to say, "Let it be." or maybe, "I deserve this." or "I'm offering these pains for the conversion/salvation of my wife or husband or son or daughter."
We all prefer to die without pain. What if it won't happen? We have to be ready. Some doctors are offering assisted suicide, especially for those who have incurable diseases and mostly those who doesn't want pain. Its all about medication. Doctors are experts on this. This is insane! Its like, the game is over! Most of these people in my point of view have been lost, lost in their faith, hope, love, or knowledge in overall overview and understanding on what life and death is in general term and perspective.
Enjoying life while we're still alive is what we're hearing ever since. What if we get sick for a year? We of course get depressed because we're conditioned to enjoy life and now we couldn't do it. We gotta think ahead all the time, that anything will/can happen to us anytime. Either its good or bad. We have to prepare not tomorrow but now! We have to do something!
We are conditioned to serve ourselves with all the happiness and enjoyments. We sometimes forget the essence of/to sacrifice for love, to work hard serving the least ones. We're serving those that also serve us in return. We're not actually serving when we in return are also being served. Let's learn to serve the least of the least. Its the real love and charity! When we feel like death is near, even if the pains are growing bigger and bigger, we could as well think and say, "I've done my very best and I'm ready to face the reality of death."
Maybe for some who will die of old age without illness, we might think, "That is what I want!" The truth is, we will never know what kind of death we'll be facing. If we accept this truth, then we will be free. We will be ready for everything, ready to face anything without fear. Thus, we would die with joy deep inside. Our body will fail but the spirit that we share and serve for others will remain in them and in them will be shared and served for others as well, and that spirit will remain forever. All these because of LOVE!
