Messed up Car
My one son, which is still a student drives a older (2006) Peugeot 206. The same son has some substance use issues, and one evening, without us knowing, and in a haze he went to buy some McDonald's. In this haze he drove over the pavement, in the process messing up his left front tyre and rim. In stead of stopping he carried on driving.
What exactly he did is un clear, but it ended up in his clutch looking like in the photo below and a piece of the pressure plate broke of and went through the gearbox casing!!
The photo below (Which I got from the net, with the source given) is just to show you what the clutch and pressure plate should look like!! I don't know how the car even still moved with the broken spares, to the point where it eventually came to a halt - all messed up.
Below you can see the broken gearbox housing.
I had to tow the car in to my house, where I started to fix it. Luckily I could find a second hand gearbox, which I already fitted. The car is driving again, but there is still some issue, with a bad vibration, the cause of which I could not determine yet, but I think it is the inner CV joint that got damaged!!
I hope I can get the car fixed soon!!
I hope you enjoyed the post and hope you have a wonderful day!!
