A few days ago I bought a small motorbike. "Welcome to Mexico," said the mechanic today with a pitiful smile. After almost a day the bike broke down and wouldn't start again. I bought a new battery, made a service - and still, the bike would just not start again.
"Wasted money," was the first angry thought that came to mind. And the rabbit hole of; "with the money I could have ___," made it all worse.
"Money spent on education," was the second one. "People pay thousands of dollars to learn the lessons I did in the past couple days" - at least this thought comforted me.
Sometimes wasted money is not wasted. We sometimes have to invest so that we learn. And sometimes even broken motorbikes can be our teachers.
