2017 was a pretty awesome year. I got some stuff done. I didn't get some stuff done. Overall I'm happy looking back on what I accomplished despite suffering from quite low self-esteem for a lot of the past year or so.
Here's a breakdown of the things I did which I have some pride in:
• Did multiple >100-mile bicycle courier work days
• Worked in 3 different cities
• Did a 373km (232 mile) 25-hour out & back fixed gear ride
• Came 16th out of >300 at the Euro Cycle Messenger Champs in Vienna
• Finished a 1000km (621 mile) solo bicycle tour through the Alps which included Stelvio, Gavia and Gardena (and more!) passes as well as a 24-hour ride from Bormio to Milan
• Won 'Best out of Towner' in Nordic Cycle Messenger Champs alleycat race
• Hiked to the summit of the tallest mountain in northern Europe and bagged some other iconic Norwegian hikes
• Hiked 160km (100 miles) coast-to-coast across England in 4 days
• Visited a total of 6 different countries
• Over 10,000km (6,214 miles) total distance cycled
• Reached over 700,000 total views on my YouTube channel
• Became known to my friends as a gong fanatic
• Became known to my friends as a bitcoin fanatic
And most importantly...
• I made about 6000% gains in my first year of crypto

My goals for 2018 aren't that extensive. I'm trying not to bog myself down with too much work. It might have a more detrimental effect if I give myself too much to aim for.
I've roughly boiled it down to 5 things:
• Get back to being more of creator than a consumer of social media
• Finish an international cross-country bikepacking race
• NoFap for the entire 365 days
• Make at least 1000% gains with my crypto portfolio
• Regain some self-confidence
I think I've started the year off well. I've already uploaded a couple of videos to my YouTube channel, have made some content-rich posts to Steemit and have got back into eating and exercising regularly again. I even received an e-mail this morning saying that I made it through to the final entry stage of a bikepacking race - so that's one goal well on the way to being ticked off!
Whatever happens I will be sure to share it with all my followers on here. I think 2018 might be the best year of my life so far thanks to the wonders of decentralised payment systems. ~ ~ What are your goals for 2018? ~ ~Shoot me an up-vote if you felt inspired by this content and leave a comment if you want to chat.
