This guide is basic knowledge. Made for dummies and written by a dummy. Use it daily!
I got struck with a cold 48 hours ago. A full blown chest infection with death like loogies.
This is how my mother found me. Dead to the world.
Everytime this happens I beat it instantly. This time I broke my record with a recovery time of 18 hours.
If you live a busy life like me, here's how to beat a cold like a Pro.
You will need
- Antibiotics, obviously.
- A comfortable Bed.
- Lemons and Honey.
- Tissues.
- Strawberries.
First
As soon as you feel a cold coming on, see your doctor immediately. Get a script for some antibiotics if you haven't already got some, and take them shits every two hours. Eat a strawberry before dropping one once every two-to-four hours.
Second
Sleep as much as possible until you start feeling better. Once you're feeling better you can move around in your warmest clothes and sweat it out. Try to sweat it out in bed first.
Third
Drink plenty of water, but where possible, boil the jug and fix up a bad ass tea with the Lemon and Honey.
Lemon Honey Tea Ingredients:
-250 ml of Boiling Water
-1 table spoon of Honey
-Half a squeezed lemon
(You can add Cinnamon if you like it)
Four
Tissues are your best friends. Get all that gunk out as soon as your body tries to reject it. Dispose of that shit ASAP. You don't want your flu's bacteria floating around!
Five
Eat lots of Strawberries. As many as you can afford on your budget. Strawberries are the perfect source for Vitamin C when you feel too ill to eat. Just one helps. Plus they're tasty! (Oranges/Mandarins are a great substitution)
And That's It!
Within twenty four hours or less you'll be ready to step in a ring with a champ and give your best performance.
If not, repeat these steps until you can next see your doctor (you may not have a simple Cold).
Disclaimer: Colds shouldn't be regular. If you maintain your body with a proper diet and exercise you will rarely have a cold. If you do get unlucky due to a cold snap or getting caught in the rain one evening, consider this your hitchhikers guide to the flu.
