On January 18th I initiated an experiment on incentivized giving.

The post received 24 pledges to share their SBD rewards from my upvotes with at least one needy person. Here's a list of Steemians who pledged:

At least 4 more Steemians (Hive account@denmarkguy, Hive account@rahemanali, Hive account@bitbulls, Hive account@benadam) with some Steem Power joined me in upvoting the pledges resulting SBD rewards as high as $4+. The experiment also inspired at least one steemian to do more for the victims of fire that gutted 30 homes in Cebu City, Philippines.

With 24 pledges (about $3 SBD / pledge average), 112 comments and 382 views, the experiment got a lot more traction than I had imagined. So I have decided to make it a "weekly incentivized giving" activity.

Today the payouts are due. I would love to hear from those who participated in the experiment.
