Fear is a great evil. It handicaps it's victim's mental faculty, thereby hindering them from clear and precise thought, which ordinarily they could have. It prevents it's victims from realizing their rights and freedoms, cripples their hearts, making them paranoid and thereby putting them in bondage.
There is one major antidote to fear, and it is to realize that, fear does exists and it's residence is in the hearts of men. The Yorubas often say that "ojo ti a ba ti ri ibi, ojo naa ni ibi n wo ile ". While this applies in the case of fear, it however does not entirely apply, this is because, the journey out of the road of fear is that of a persistent exercise, rather than a one time thing.
There is however a clause here, touring the path of evil acts will certainly do one thing and it is to ensure the continuity of fear in the heart of its victim. It is therefore paramount that whoever wants to defeat fear must also desist from evil acts, otherwise, all the effort to defeat fear will only prove futile.
When a person is rid of fear, the person rather has peace of mind. But, then, this should not be confused for freedom. Freedom is good, but, it is however, also dangerous, for if not properly managed, it can make a person misbehave, and thereby, on a gradual process back to being a victim of fear.
This year, live a fear free life, and manage your freedom well. Grace! Grace!
