We all yearn for fame or wished to be known. Everybody wants to be appreciated and praised at the same time. The world we are is controlled by certain people. Among these people are celebrities. These are the people who pass information via artistic means - music or drama.
These people always try to lead by example. It could be for positive or negative reason but we are somehow affected by what they do and try to emulate them.
Sometimes i wonder if we truly have what we can call our own principles. Most of the things in the world today were first done by some people before others picked them up and turn them around.
There is always a first person to anything. Not all these people are known but we know someone must have started something 'A' first before others joined.
In the world today, we are somehow obsessed with anything celebrity does. Whenever an individual does something, people look at him or her disdainfully but when same thing is done by a known figure, such action is praised. People, in fact, emulate such things as if it is norm.
If an artist decided to wear boxers with a jacket and walk on the street with fine sneakers, people will praise him and even wear it the next day. But an 'ordinary' person cannot just wake up and do this.
The question now is, are we pawns that are being controlled by the popular figures? Is it the case that only these celebrities understand fashion? Is it the case that they can only decide which fashion is wrong or right? Why is it that we always want to do anything they do?
It is even funny when people replicate anything a notable figure did and quick to reference it as the rationale behind their actions!
Is it the case that we don't have brains we can call our own to question and reject these things as 'trash'?
Are we their pawns or it is a normal thing to do what they do? What do you think?
