Happiness is... Being able to breath after having a cold.
As you might already know by the title, I have been sick for the last couple of days. I usually rarely get a cold so I wasn´t expecting a few days off. Luckily it was nothing special just a common cold without fever or other serious complaints. It all started almost a week ago. When I was ready for bed, I felt a little pain down my throat. This wasn´t anything spectacular because the degrees dropped from 15 to -3 in just two nights. But I literally had no voice when I woke up the next morning. It didn´t come back during the day so I decided to slow down a little bit, skip the gym and focus on my health. I am pretty sure that was a good idea but it didn´t help at all. I should attend an import meeting the day after but my body decided to take a few days off. I don´t want to get too deep into the details because we all know, feeling sick and having an illness that turned out to be infectious can be pretty nasty.
While I stayed at home for at least three days, I decided to work on my inner self and gave my brain a lot of information while reading tons of books. I am not that kind of person who likes to stay at home while being sick and watching thousands of movies. I want to be productive even if I´m not in my best shape.
Once I felt better, I put on my clothes and went to the gym. Obviously that was a stupid idea. I started to cough again, I got a little dizzy and the mucus almost blocked my lungs. It was a sign for me to stop immediately and I quickly jumped into the car and drove back home. Please always remind yourself that your body is constantly working hard to recover and you are not allowed to do any physical activities otherwise it can harm your heart and other organs.
Even if you feel a lot better, wait until all symptoms disappear and your body feels fit again. Here are my favorite things to do while I´m sick:
- reading books
- watching documentaries
- writing blogposts
- eat hot soups
- plan new projects
- play brain trainer apps
- organize my laptop and phone
These listed things help me to stay focused, stay in my daily schedule and be productive even if I´m sick. But the most important thing is to keep yourself motivated! You need that inner energy in order to succeed.
Today is the day where I finally felt more strength in my body. The cold is fading away and I feel almost healthy again. My voice sounds still a little bit chesty but that´s fine. The energy is finally coming back and I directly went to the gym and visited one of my favorite restaurants in Hamburg.
I did a pretty tough workout and it felt amazing! My gym luckily has a sauna so I could relax a little before I went to one of my favorite restaurants in Hamburg. It turned out to become a quick work session but keep in mind -

Of course I checked the current market cap... This gif isn´t older than 5 hours and I already see 10 billion dollars more than before...
It´s already quite late but I wanted to give you a short update. I am now finishing this blogpost and taking the last natural medicine before I am going to end this successful day.

Time is the most valuable asset that we have. There is no one who is able to give us more time if we waisted the moments before. Even if you are laying sick in bed, you are still able to use your brain and work on something incredible. Do not take these days as a holiday or rather try not to suffer the whole time. This is what makes you special and why you will succeed and others don´t!
Thanks for reading
Stay focused
