Hi steemit friends,
I'm gonna introduce cycling route in HK which you shouldn't miss when you vist HK.
There aren't many route of cycling in HK though, due to packed arrangement of buildings and roads.
If you get out of city center such as HK island and Kowloon area, however, you can easily find some routes with gorgeous sceneries of sea and mounatains.
The cycling route of today where I tried on this weekend is the one at the Taipo water front park.
Before riding, I had Hong Kong style Ice Milk Tea at restaurant in taipo market.
There are a lot of nice local Hong Kong style restaurant in this area which serve decent Hong Kong style food with reasonable price. I would say the food in central area is not actually authentic Hong Kong style local food, but they are kind of fusion style food or chain restaurant mainly for tourists. So if you have spare time to explore the rural area of Hong Kong, recommend you to visit here. It took around 30~40min from Tsim sha Tsui station by MTR or bus
-Taken at the bus on the way to Taipo Market Station.
Back to cycling subject, after nice Milk tea, we walked to Taipo Water front Park.It takes only about 10 minutes.
- GATE of the park.
My favorite part about living in Hong Kong is that City and the Nature like mountains and beaches are very close to visit.
You can suddenly meet the real forest just next to your apartment and office.
To rent bikes, we went to the bike rental shops nearby Lookout tower in the park.
There are 3 rental shops just next to the tower, 25HKD per hour, 70HKD per day.
The bikes which they have were all in good quality, well maintained.
If you are not familiar with cycling enough, you will find that cycling roads are a bit narrow. So be aware of having sufficient practice before trial.
Followings are the photos which were taken in the middle of cycling. The route is just next to sea.
Cycling made us die of hunger, hence we ran back to Tsim sha Tsui to have our favorite Korean dishes. Spicy chicken feet! hell ya!
Thanks for your reading the long posting. Following and upvoting encourage me to share more exciting exploring in Hong Kong! C ya
