We are really starting to make progress! When I left off last time, we had just opened up all of the pieces in the bags marked #2. Well, I have been slacking a bit on posting, but last night we completed building everything up through bag #9. There will be lots of photos in this post, showing all of the progress that we have made on our Ghostbusters Firehouse. This includes everything we have built over the past week! I know that some people actually finish these sets in one sitting. But we are really enjoying being able to do this one session at a time, usually working for about an hour or two each time.
Foundation complete! Looks like we are going to have to build the ECTO-1 car set too, so we can have something to park in this garage.
So I may have gotten too excited one night and forgot to take pictures of Bag #6. It was really cool though, and allowed us to add lots of detail to the 2nd level. Check out that Stay Puffed Marshmallow Man Arcade Game! The bunk room has been built as well.
Building out the Kitchen. Lots of little detail here, even a Toaster! So cool, I never thought there would be this much detail when we started this set.
Lots of building, lots of bonding, and here is the result for the week. I think we are a little more than half way through, and we have had a great time building this. You can see with all of these pictures just how much bang for the buck we are really getting out of this set. I am beyond impressed. Lego Time is starting to be my wife's favorite time of the day, she can hardly wait for the kids to go to bed. Haha. Thanks for coming back and checking in with us to see our progress for the week.
