"I love when people that have been through hell walk out of the flames carrying buckets of water for those still consumed by the fire"
Building mental strength is not an easy thing to do.
However, it's the key in order to being fully satisfied with what life has to offer.
I was a target most of my life.
I always saw myself as a very fragile and sensitive human.
I always thought I could not overcome everything that would come my way.
But I always found the strength to do so.
No matter what you're going through, remember that you're always stronger than your struggles.
One of the first assets that mentally strong people put in practice is that they let go of things that are not in their control.
(Meditation is helping me with that one!)
Life is unpredictable.
Change will happen and it's essential to embrace it.
Yet the more I focused on the unchangeable, the harder my journey got.
And I'm starting to realize that as hard as it can be sometimes, I have to let go of things I have no control over.
I need to stop fearing the unknown, because it will happen anyway.
When you live in a world of fear, you give away your power.
Mentally strong people see everything that comes their way as an opportunity for growth and wisdom.
Every human has the power to create for himself a reality.
And for too long, my mind was filled with negativity, which only resulted in creating for myself a negative reality.
Mentally strong people don't feel like the universe owes them anything.
In the modern world, we live for instant gratification.
In this digital age, you can get too many things at the touch of a finger.
And that's a shame, because it takes time for real results to happen.
Patience is a virtue;)
In the end, it's not because you work hard and you do so many great things, that the universe will bring good back to you.
Practicing gratitude allows you to acknowledge all the good things you have in your life already, instead of putting the focus on what you think "you deserve" out of life.
