I've come to the realization that we should all be following the people that are following us on #steemit. At least as a little minnow this makes sense.
"Why?" you ask.
Because it's a way to follow many like-minded people to build our feeds with interesting posts.
As I was looking through my feed today, I noticed I was voting for most of the content that was in there. Not all of it, though, just the good stuff with opinions I agree on. But, if somebody has followed you, they probably have the same type of views and will be posting relevant content to your interests.
This won't always be the case. Sometimes a person might follow you because of a nice picture you took or a drawing you did. Following them back, though, will allow you to see some of the artwork they have done.
We should also start to follow everybody we upvote. If they produce good work once, it's likely they will do it again. This is a great way for us little minnows to get a larger network going. It can only help with your upvotes and turn those posts that might have made $0.05 into at least a $2-3 post.
Besides, if you find you don't like someone's posts after seeing a few of them, you can always unfollow.
