I just purchased my 2nd Berkey Water Filter today
It is so important to me that I provide clean drinkable water for my family including my pets. Approximately 3 years ago I began researching water filters and quickly decided that the Berkey Purification System was the right and only water filter system for our family.
I liked the fact that the Berkey System did not require any electricity or water pressure to work. It's so simple to get clean water with the Berkey.. Each of the stainless steel filter systems has a top chamber and a bottom chamber. The top chamber houses the black Berkey filters as well as the white flouride filters. Water is poured into the top of this chamber. As the water pulls down by gravity and passes through the filters, it enters the bottom chamber where it is stored and ready to use. I purchased the water level view sight glass spigot so that I can see the water level in my Berkey at all times :)

I love the fact that the Berkey filters the water thru the filtration system at the rate of 60-90psi...Its very quick!! I fill the top chamber with tap water and w/in minutes we are able to grab ourselves a glass of clean filtered water.

TIP: When we replace our Berkey filters, we use the used filters and make a water system for our garden. Here is a video that I found on YouTube - this is not a video that I made!! This is to give you an example of the type of water filtration system we made for watering our garden. In this video they only used 1 filter, we used several used filters in our outdoor filter system -
the more filters you use, the quicker the gravity pull processes the water thru.
