Psychologists say that about 10,000 thoughts go through the human mind in one day. That is about 3 million, 600 thousand thoughts or ideas person year.
Wow! Right.
After reading this fact, I started thinking about the adverse effects of. **Investing thought into too many ideas. **
With those number of thoughts going through the human mind, it is no wonder, it is difficult for many people to stay on track in life. The human brain/mind is an enigma (a mystery) and it is wonderful in so many ways. Sometimes just a little bit too wonderful, I dare say.
If the human mind can process 10,000 thoughts/ideas per day, then you have to find some sort of conscious control over your kind, right? We shouldn't just let our minds run free, we should at least attach a leash. We should know to manage the influx of so many ideas.
How do you handle 10,000 thoughts/ideas per day?
How do you make sure but you don't shift from religion to religion, job to job, marriage to marriage, business to business, etc?
DISCIPLINE
It is by discipline that you master your thoughts/ideas and by determining to stay with one idea until you see results!
It was Oliver Wendell Homes who said
"Man's mind stretched into a new idea, never goes back to its original dimensions."
If you don't control your mind/ideas your life will most certainly end up in real confusion.
Also don't forget that small minds discuss people, average minds discuss events but great minds discuss ideas.
