People are selfish. They only want to recieve. But not everyone is alike. Some enjoy giving.
Giving to others is an art that gives immense satisfaction and peace of mind.

Imagine you are on your way to home after a long day at the office and you see a homeless person at the streets asking for food or money. And you have only a 100 euro bill. Will you give it to that guy or will walk on?

Many will just choose to ignore and walk on. But there are some gems who would stop by them and try to help. And these are the kind of people that the society needs.

Poor and rich will always co exist in a society. But it is people like them who help make the poor less poor without disturbing the balance of society.
