We are quickly moving into a new age of technology. Virtual reality, self-driving cars - even just talking to someone on the phone and seeing their face. However, all these new gadgets and gizmos are actively pushing us away from all those other opportunities we could have.
Want to go backpacking in China?
"Here is a live stream of a guy backpacking in China"
Want to swim with dolphins?
"SeaWorld!"
Car issues?
"Let me just Youtube the problem"
Now, I'm not saying technology is hindering our progress (it's actually quite helpful in many fields), but I ask that everyone keep in mind what they really want from life - what goals they have. Your goals might involve tech or the use of tech (heck, we're using it right now), but it's easy to stray from what we really want when we're bombarded with advertisements each and every day. Consumerism isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it keeps us focused on the little things in life - not the big picture.
If you would, post below a life goal of yours. Think in the moment, the present, about what you truly want in your life. That one thing that could make you happy and feeling fulfilled after completion. Your goal is your goal, and it can be anything you'd like. Hopefully by posting this goal, you can keep it in your mind long enough until it becomes a reality.
