Do we really need to ‘conquer’ something inside to get where we want to be? Of course, I can only speak from personal experience here, and from gathering the thoughts of others on this subject. But the obvious answer is that there’s a consistent tendency to do what’s easy. However you describe it, ‘an angel on one shoulder, the devil on the other’ perhaps, the tension is ever present.
I like to blog about fitness ideas because it’s always been a part of my life. There is no claim that can be made by me of an some transformation, just a simple appreciation of the fitness journey. So for me it’s easy. If other aspects of my existence were in similar order, life would be flowing smoother.
A timely blog made its way to me about a week ago that made a lot of sense to me…. it’s about habits.
Motivation, at times, is like the weather. Sometimes it’s cold. Sometimes it’s hot. Sometimes it’s not. Habits have handles that you can grab and control at will. I like that.
The information that came my way is from jamesclear.com. Download the little book on habits. Short. Instructional. Doable.
