Hey together!
Is this a dream?
A Lucid dream is a dream where you are clear of the fact that you are dreaming! You are able to experience any situation you can imagine. The settings are up to you. You can manipulate the stages, the sun itself, and nothing less than the time. Absolute control is possible if you master your mind while dreaming. For an intense adventure, you can stretch the time to e.g. three weeks. In the „real world“ just some minutes or hours pass. Sounds fantastic? Yep, it is!
Lucid dreaming is known to humanity for a very long time. Shaolin monks did it to practice their inhuman skills in the art of fighting, to exceed their limits they arranged to master their bodies.
The most people in the west hemisphere didn't be aware of such a method or just ignored it. Slowly but surely this knowledge was brought back to live. Thanks to the Internet which had a huge role in this part.
But how do you enter the world of lucid dreaming? It is like the most things in life. You enter this world by simply practicing.
- Remembering your dream is important. By writing a dream diary instantly (!) after you woke up.
- In the dreamworld many things are irrational. Reading is nearly impossible. The letters just morph or are just cryptic. Everything with a logical system stops to work properly there. And exactly this is your entrance to this lucid dream world. In the awake state you can, for example, count your fingers from one hand, every day for about ten times. After about 3 weeks it will become a habit. And that's the point! At some point, you will count your fingers in a dream and realize that you have more than five or less or roots on your hands, etc. The first time you will be so happy that you entered this fascinating world that you will wake up in a blink of an eye. But, hey. The first step. You did it! After some practice, you will be able to stay there for as long as you want. And remember to count your fingers in your lucid dream every five minutes or you will lose the awareness of your lucid state! By the way, the finger counting is a „Reality Check“. There are many more, e.g. to read some letters or the watch. Jumping is another one. You will slide gently down again instead of falling fast like in the real world. And one thing I want to mention, have fun learning to fly :D so funny, hehe.
Blurred, not real. real?
But one question bothers me since the first moment. WHY IS THERE SOMETHING LIKE LUCID DREAMING? Who or what implemented this skill for us? Is there a reason? A philosophical question who everybody can try to figure out for himself or in a group. What do YOU think about this possibility?
As mentioned before, Shaolin monks used it to practice for the „real“ world. So it is not just for fun. It can be utilized as a tool. Want to be sure something will work out very well? Go over the situation in a lucid dream, again, again and again till you played through every possible situation and mastered it. Practice a speech in front of 10000 people to lose your stage fright. If you are an artist you can draw the best pictures in your dreams and take them to this world. You all know that in your head your paintings looks so well but you can't bring them to paper easily, but in a lucid dream, this is no problem. Then again, practice this painting there and pull it to us and let the people enjoy this masterpiece. Lucid dreaming can be used as a sandbox or like a programmer would call it, an IDE or console. But is it just this? Or something more which we just don't know yet...?
It's all in your head.
