Many times in the past few years I have set myself out to stop smoking tobacco.
Often I would make it about 6 or 9 months until I met up with one of my best friends, who often smoke, and had a late night and joined in. I can no longer let this happen. This time its for good though. We are on day three so far. Started our morning off with a jog and we have been introducing intermittent fasting for the last few months. Something that gives us an incredible amount of energy everyday. SO much so that we often wake up at 5am with sunrise and are in bed by around 12 midnight. Ready and rearing to go for the next day. I had always used tobacco to kind of dumb or restrain this energy that I had. Eventually turning it into a vice to cover some more emotional problems that are tied to my extreme energy.
Step one, Step two.
Well. Often you are left with many extra moments in a day. Quitting one thing seems to be intimately tide with starting something new. This week we are in Panama. We are excited to go on bike rides around the cos-way. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is also high on our list. WE love physical activities and are aiming to fill all that extra smoking space with physical exertion. The other thing that has been very helpful has been the amazing company! Couldnt be more greatful to for being so hospitable here as we visit Panama!
One Day At A Time
So many things, so many idea, so much time. Often we get a head of ourselves. We focus on the result we want instead of the work necessary to get there. Focusing on our daily success has been what has made this easier. We are on day four now and if weren't for the appreciation of the small things. This would have been very difficult to do. WE changed our scenery which helped.
Getting into a new environment will help mover away from the old one. Although it is all within us. The access to a bike, jiu jitsu and runs on the paved roads by the beach are enough, even just in thought for us to move forward. WE want to be healthier. In fact, we need it. Here is to achieving success one day at a time. Just like on Steemit, Stay focused
We will keep everyone updated on our progress and te tings we have been doing to make this process for ourselves easier! Its not easy as the mind often wants to fight. So does the body, as it starts to heal, it gets harder on the lungs before better.
