So the biggest thing I've been thinking about recently is, "How can I improve on what I'm doing?" My online presence has been growing, and with that the need for a more professional appearance as well as a central hub for my content, I have decided to design my own personal website using Weebly, one of many website builders available for free thanks to the internet.
The first task was to design the site, and to be honest I think I managed. It's not the most beautiful site on the web, but it works for what I need. It has functions that I was missing in my social media pages, and is a lot more customizable than any functional social media page would be. Besides, as it is my own website I can really make it my own and show off my own unique personality within it. I think design-wise I couldn't have asked for a better website builder than what I got in Weebly.
Next was my social media approach.Obviously what I was doing was not working for how I wanted to reach my audience, so I needed to find a way to renew my approach and reach out to the newer generations in such a way that would be interesting for them. Therefore I started using Buffer to schedule regular social media posts on Facebook and Twitter. Using this would allow me to be more consistent and also more predictable in when and how I post.
Thirdly, I needed to find a way to bridge the gap between my videos and my other ideas, therefore I decided to start writing a blog both on my website and here on steemit, allowing me to not only create a new form of revenue, but also to connect with my viewers and readers in such a way that I could not and just a regular video. Doing this also allows me freedom to do more than just talk to a camera to try to get my point across. I also think this helps with getting into a new potential audience, as many people who read blogs do not necessarily watch a videos on YouTube or dtube.
Next was adding more potential revenue streams, as I know how difficult it will be in the following years to continue earning money from a creative lifestyle. Using d click as well as other forms of monetization of my content, I have discovered multiple ways to earn a living just from my own creative talents and abilities. Not only that but I have also unlock the potential for my career to continue for a lot longer than I have predicted previously. Being a Creator exclusively on YouTube for 2 and 1/2 years taught me that relying only on ad revenue would not be a sustainable method of earning an income.
Within this idea, I have decided that I will start marketing merchandise with my brand. This will hopefully provide me with yet another revenue stream to support my creative ideas and outlets, as well as also providing for my future in a way that I could not myself.
Finally,I am always educating myself about better practices and methods of editing and creating. Not only is this including new methods of editing my videos and new software that is coming out, but also in the way that I present myself in my videos and a how I am I able to communicate. Public speaking has not always been my strongest suit, but I feel now more than ever that I have become stronger as a result of my continued perseverance in this field.not only have I learned so much more than I would have otherwise, but I have also managed to grow so much more as a person because of the way that I have been creating for so many years now. I hope to continue creating as much as I have in the past, for as many years as the future will allow.
These are only a portion of my plans for the future, and I hope to build upon them as the years progress. I invite you to join me on this journey of self-discovery and creativity. I wish you all the best, and I hope you have a happy Christmas.
