For some of us spending the most part of the typical 24 hour day within the office environment may result in unexpected close relationships blossoming with our fellow workmates which could led to complications especially for those already in committed relationship elsewhere or with a significant other at home.
The result of such romantic attractions may led to further complications where the relationship is between staff member who are not on the same employment level, i.e. relationship between that of a superior and subordinate, and could wind up costing both the company and the staff members involved dearly.
Though there is a case for having strict guidelines when it comes to office romance for the sake of all parties involved, there is no stopping human nature from taking over when it comes to the affairs of the heart and no amount of deterrence will stop emotional entanglements from happening.
Is it a healthy thing to be caught up in a romantic engagement in the office work environment or is it too much of a taboo ? If you have ever been in such a dilemma in your workplace was the situation resolved amicable for all partied involved or was there a price to pay?
