"Like arrows in a warrior's hand, so are the children of a man in his youth" (Ps 127:4).
I have had the rare and prestigious privilege of being your first grandchild, the first of many you showered with love, kindness and groomed to be respectful, hardworking and diligent. I learnt firsthand from a tender age how simplicity, humility and patience are key virtues a man must possess to be successful. You were frugal, humane, truly detribalized and cared for the good of all and sundry. Indeed, you have left your foot prints on the sands of time. I would miss your prayers, guidance, wonderful sense of humour and forever cherish every moment I was blessed to have spent with you.
You have fought the good fight, ran a good race. Now, enjoy your crown of glory singing continous Alleluia to the King of glory with all the meek and humble of heart like yourself.
THANK YOU GRANDPA (my friend and gist partner)!
Till we meet to part no more.
Love as always!
Tolu.
