Yes, you are being tracked on internet Since last few months Cambridge Analytica and Facebook are in the news, both was being accused for interference in 2016 election of USA and perhaps in elections of INDIA, KENYA & NIGERIA.
The question is how this investigation affects?
It has been believed that to understand one's mentality the Cambridge Analytica has taken the help of Facebook data, like Who are my friends, They and I shares which type of posts, Who likes which type of videos and posts, In our posts do we show affirmation or show anger etc.
With such type of information it's quite sure that Cambridge Analytica can understand that in elections which type of leader will be our choice. Now who will be his client, they will represent their client in front of me in a way in which I would like to see him. For example if my mentality is Women Oriented then Leader (for ex. Trump) will be represented as messiah of women, and if my mentality is orthodox then Trump will be represented as orthodox personality. The advertisements and statements of Trump will be displayed over my Facebook wall according to my likes. This is called Micro-Targeting.
Micro-targeting means to represent a politician for example Trump to 10 different persons as 10 different personalities.
It has been warned several times that the data mining and data are not being used for the benefit of people, but it is being used against them.
Over Internet our every single click is being monitored and according to that we get suggestions to watch videos and read articles. It is said for Google that Google knows about us even more than us. It is possible because Facebook and Google recognize us with our Gmail or Facebook ID.
In this context our Indian Aadhar is bigger threat in our privacy then Facebook and Google.

With this Aadhaar number our whole life is just going to bound in a row, by which we are sharing about our family, friends, work, health etc. to the world. These information can be misused in which way we have no control over it. Recently in a newspaper it was read that how the Aadhaar information are being sold by 500 rupees. Cambridge Analytica & Facebook are very powerful companies but still the US and British government grilled them and Facebook apologize in front of US Senate. But Aadhar is the Trap created by government itself then WHO WILL BE QUESTIONABLE.
So My suggestion is to all "Be a smarter Citizen rather than being a politically FOOLISH!!!!!!!!!"
