In these days of economic recession, 4 million Nigerians including myself have lost their jobs.
With the assistance of my family, especially who introduced me to steemit, I have been able to brace up and carry on with life.
Such situation for many, especially with several responsibilities which includes taking care of children who didn't seek your consent to give birth to them, can be extremely depressing. As a responsible parent, how do u suddenly become 'irresponsible?'. The employer told me how difficult life would be for me if I got laid off my JOB (just over broke on the Nigerian setting).
With much more calmness than he expected, I replied by letting him know that I am a multi-talented, highly intelligent and an independent woman. Here am I on steemit, showcasing my talents and being appreciated for it. I've been urging and i'm still urging people to sit up and use their brains and talents. Thanks to steemit/steemians for this great opportunity.
Were you or any of your friends/relatives among the 4million Nigerians laid off in 2017? What was your reaction to the situation? Feel free to share in the comment section for everyone to learn and contribute.
