Here's a view from my grandmother's window... in the centre of Porto. It's an interesting place to live but with lots and lots of traffic.
These gardens are private property and a few cats used to roam here. There were not many of them but the neighbours kept complaining and the landlord decided to get rid of the strayed cats. 🙄
Now the garden is a total boredom, there are no kids, no cats, nothing except a few pigeons and seagulls that sh@t all over the place.
At least when the cats were there, these birds would stay away... the place was a bit cleaner and that water was never this green. 🤢
Cats are perfect to keep the cities clean of pest spreading rodents, too. Just ask the people from Vienna who decided to get the city clean of strayed cats... and now they have a big problem... with rats! 🤦♂️
