I have realized lately that eating brownies for breakfast is a good idea, and not just because they are delicious.
It's also because it is very rebellious and carefree to eat a brownie when you wake up in the morning. Who made the rules that you had to eat "breakfast" foods for breakfast?
It's more than the brownies, though.
It's about living your life and not ignoring the little things that make you happy everyday just because you think that they aren't allowed.
If eating a brownie makes you happy, eat that brownie!
I used to believe that I wasn't good enough to enjoy things, that I wasn't allowed to. I don't know exactly where I got that perspective, but it was there. I spent a lot of time obsessing about only doing the right things, never indulging. It wasn't healthy!
I have come a long way. Now I eat the brownie for breakfast if I want to because I realize that it has no connection to my self worth, and also because it makes me happy.
